Seidio Innocell 3500 mAh Extended Life Battery for HTC Droid Eris
Recently purchased an HTC Droid Eris from Verizon after hours and hours of reviewing blogs and input about which new cell phone to get. I was looking at a Blackberry unit, having used one at work. After going over several phones and features with the Verizon sales representative (Tara), I decided on the Eris. I was amazed at all the features this phone has and really like the touch-screen functions. Even the ‘virtual’ keyboard works for me. The one big negative was the standard battery. It would not last a whole day without having to be charged. I understand that Seidio makes better batteries for the Eris and I plan on purchasing one as soon as possible. Would have given the unit a 5-star rating, except for the battery situation.

Nothing like having a Smartphone that you can actually use! Hated having to basically turn my phone into a paper weight to save battery, kind of defeats the purpose of a smartphone..Found this gem, and its a game changer, can have heavy use and still tons of power when the days done. Sorry Iphone, you loose this battle…

Was excited about being able to push my Eris and not worry about the battery. The item came quickly, but you don’t know how bulky it will be until you get it. It makes the phone way too bulky for my taste, and the new cover has more openings than the original, compromising the resistance to humidity especially in a sweaty pocket in the summer. I exchanged it(hassle free)for the next size down, still more battery life than the OEM but you still use the OEM cover.

This battery is a pretty decent upgrade to the standard battery that comes with the Droid Eris… however it does make the phone twice as thick. On other extended batteries I have had for different phones they extended my life by 3-4 times. However, this battery instead of charging every night like the original, I charge it every other night. Not sure if it’s worth near 60 bucks… but I guess it does the job

Just got the Eris and found out what other reviews revealed. Poor Battery life. However, this product is a significant improvement. I could only get 12 to 14 hours out of the original battery. With this extended battery, phone went 3 1/2 days after initial charge. I’m still conditioning the battery now (3-4 charge/discharge cycles) but it seems to be improving. Currently I’m on day 3 (2nd recharge) with over 70% battery still going. This is with occasional web surfing, bluetooth usage, and GPS on.
The “fat back” is not detrimental and actually adds a good feel when holding the phone.
All in all, Very pleased with this purchase.
