I just bought this case and holster combo and have to say that I am pleased with my purchase. The Seidio caseholster combo is built with quality. My combo did not come with the locking mechanism as described in other reviews but I don’t see that as a problem as the spring hinge to hold the phone in place is strong enough, so a one handed operation to attach and detach from the holster is possible. I think that the price could be a little better and that is the only reason why I’m not giving it five stars.

Seidio makes great products and the case for the Sprint Hero is no exception. Fit’s perfectly and is very comfortable to wear. Get it if you think it would work for you.

The holste is perfect. Been using Seidio holsters with my Blackerries for over 3 yrs and just love them. This one is no exception! With the Blackberry, the skin was a soft rubber material that would grip very well on the center console of my car. The phone WOULD NOT MOVE! This one slides much easier, though it’s still better than just the phone alone. Overall, still impressive and worth the money. Amazon had the best price by far!

The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is the price. $35+ is spendy for a holster and cover; however, you really are getting a quality setup with this purchase. The belt clip is felt lined for screen protection. The protective case splits the phone around the center vs. the cheap snap-ons that split the phone front and back. The cover also comes off very easy with a gentle push on the back to release the clip. Even the retaining clip was designed with an eye toward how the phone is inserted and removed because they used a soft rubberized clip with rounded edges that meet the protective cover when re-inserting the phone in the holster. This is a real eye toward detail and it’s done to protect the screen.
My daddy always told me, “buy the best, cry once.” This is an excellent system for the Hero even if it is about $8 more expensive than it should be. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

I purchased the seidio case holster combo for the HTC Hero by sprint I got exactly what I order except it does not have the locking peice so that the phone will not come out of the holster it is not a big deal to me to to some one it may be a big deal
