I’m printing a mini zine with some half tone photos in it. I printed less than 200 before the printer started telling me the toner was low.

Works fine. I like that this is advertised to have 5000 page capacity vs. the reportedly smaller capacity toner cartridge model (ML-D2850A, I think?). I was a little surprised — and annoyed — that when I took the cartridge out of the machine a whole bunch of little specks of toner came out and got all over me. I think it ruined a good pair of pants. Never had that happen to me with other printers/toner cartridges.

It’s a toner cartridge. We put it into the printer, and the symptoms of being low on toner went away.
We’re looking forward to using the larger-capacity of this cartridge — the one that cane with the printer was an ML-D2850A, which is the smaller capacity cartridge.

Easy to install. Worked instantly. Only complaint was that it was putting a continuous smudge on the right side of the paper. I took it out, cleaned off the roller and shook it gently to spread the toner out. That seemed to do the job.
