I have purchased this phone with a T-mobile 2 year contract. Before I bought anything, I called amazon cell phone customer service line and explained to them what kind of a phone I want. Basically, I asked whether they have a phone that lets you to search the internet without having to buy the data plan. There is wireless at work and home, so I did not want to pay for internet connection a second time. The amazon representative said that if I buy this phone (since it has the wi-fi compatibility), I would not need the data plan. I would be able to connect to the internet if there is a wireless connection available. I trusted the Amazon “expert” and ordered this phone.
After I got the phone, I tried to figure out the wi-fi compatibility function and how I can connect to Internet without a data plan. But I could not figure it out, so I called amazon customer service again. This time they said I would need the data plan to connect to the internet and the representative said he did not know anything about wi-fi compatibility. I asked him to talk to his supervisors or somebody who has more knowledge about these cell-phones. He did talk to others but they did not say anything different. I explained to them one of their advisors recommended this phone and that is why I bought it. They said they would find the phone conversation, check it and call (or e-mail) me back in 24 hours. This was more than one week ago!
Don’t trust Amazon.com, make your own research, their so called cell-phone “experts” don’t seem to know much and give wrong advice. I would buy a much better phone if I knew I could not connect to Internet with this phone unless I paid the data plan.

I bought this phone to replace my old Samsung phone and an iPod. Highlight has some nice features and it works well for browsing, texting and GPS navigation (you need a data plan for internet and GPS). The on-screen keyboard is small but I could get used to it. I experienced no dropped calls in past two weeks. The reason for the 1-star rating is the major defect of its music player: it can only play songs in alphabetic order. It completely ignores track numbers. Even if you create a play list, it will still play a song starting with “A” first regardless of the position of the song in the playlist. I called Samsung and checked T-Mobile support forums and this is labeled as a “known normal behavior” so I am guessing they are not planning to fix this in the future. The bottom-line is that if you are just looking for the phone with good browsing and GPS, it may work for you. If you are looking to have a single device that does it all, this is not for you unless you like listening to your music in alphabetic order. I am returning this phone and going with something that can do what I consider a “normal behavior”: playing music in a track order.

Got this for my son. He loved the phone. Almost cried when we had to send it back. We didn’t like the coverage that T-mobile provided so we returned new phones and cancelled contract.

I absolutely love my phone and have had no problems with it so far. I keep a full battery charge all day long and have never had any dropped calls! I used to have the Samsung Behold before a terrible car accident, and I replaced it awhile later with this one. I like it even better than the first generation Behold. Only think I do not like on this phone is that there seems to not be a flash on its camera. Maybe I need to play around with it more, but so far, I don’t have a flash on this camera which may make some pictures come out very dark if you are not in adequate light. Overall, great phone!

I’ve had my phone for 6 months. Love it. Does what a phone should do. Holds a charge, which was a problem with past phones. Fun, easy to use, nice design. Camera takes crystal clear digital shots and video. So what if the songs play in alphebetical order. And for the fella who didn’t understand that there is no free internet service plan offered with any phone out there – it’s a decent phone, regardless. I’m getting my daughter one for Christmas.
