Can’t get win 7 to even recognize this drive. Works fine when booted into linux as a dvd/cd drive. No support from LG as of yet. worthless…..

Perfect Blue Ray! I order this for my CPU (running WIN-7) and with my G-force HD Compatible and my 24″ HD 1080p Dell Flat screen…everything works great! The installation took just a few mins with CPU sata cable (cables included with LG Drive as well) booted the CPU and just like the instructions said, Windows picked up the drive automatically loaded the drivers! That was it! The pre-bundled Blue Ray player software that comes with the drive allows the user to bypass loading any third party (and expensive) codec’s form MS Media Player and the like!
In a nut shell, if your Video card is HD ready, and your monitor is HD ready, this is the way to go. Oh, and it BURNS Blue Ray DVD’s too! (haven’t got to this yet)

Got it home, popped open the pc, used the included sata cables to install it. Closed it up, turned it on, Windows 7 recognized it right away. Then I installed the included Cyberlink software. I was watching a Blu-Ray within 30 minutes of opening the box. I run a HDMI through my Sony STR-DH800 to my 56″ Panasonic 56lcz70, looks and sounds amazing. Turned on the pass-through feature, loved it.
