My desktop computer is run on motorola modem with ethernet and with coaxial cable since I use cable television. I have a Belkin Nwireless router that has never been used and was in my attic with no instructions. My desktop is working fine. What do I need to do to make all of this work and have wireless cable to my 2 laptops in the house? Do I need any add-ons?

That depends. If your router can do both wireless and wired connections you just have to activate the Wifi part of the router and connect the adapter to a laptop. If it cannot, you will need a wireless adapter connected to the PC, set to ad-hoc network, and another adapter on each laptop.
Look at the products’ manual carefully and find out.
